周平，云南大学特聘教授，长江学者，国家级教学名师，国务院特殊津贴专家，云南省“兴滇人才奖”获得者；担任中国政治学会副会长、国家社科基金项目评审专家，以及《政治学研究》《民族研究》《世界民族》杂志编委；主持完成国家社科基金重大项目、教育部重大攻关项目若干；出版著作、教材15部，其中3部分别入选国家哲学社会科学成果文库、“十五”国家级规划教材和教育部推荐研究生教学用书；发表学术论文180余篇，其中22篇刊于《中国社会科学》《政治学研究》《民族研究》和《中国边疆史地研究》等权威刊物，23篇被《新华文摘》《高等学校文科学术文摘》和《中国社会科学文摘》全文转载；获第七届高等学校科学研究优秀成果一等奖，第三届、第四届国家民委民族问题研究优秀成果一等奖，云南省哲学社会科学优秀成果一等奖（5次）；为我国民族政治学的创建作出了重要贡献。

Zhou Ping, a distinguished professor at Yunnan University, a Changjiang Scholar, a famous national teacher, and an expert of special allowance from the State Council. He has presided over the completion of several major projects with the National Social Science Fund of China and the Ministry of Education. 15 books and textbooks have been published, three of which have been selected for the National Library of philosophy and social sciences achievements, the national planning textbooks for the 10th Five-Year Plan and the postgraduate teaching books recommended by the Ministry of Education. More than 180 academic papers have been published. Zhou has made important contributions to the establishment of national politics in China.
