中国社会科学院日本研究所经国务院批准于1981年5月成立，是中国社会科学院下属专门从事当代日本问题研究的学术机构和智库单位。为加快构建中国特色日本研究的学科体系、学术体系和话语体系，值此日本研究所成立40周年之际，特组织本所各学科带头人并适当吸收所外专家，对过去40年来中国学术界有关日本政治、经济、外交、中日关系、安全、社会、文化、历史、思想九个领域的相关研究成果、学科发展进行系统梳理，在总结日本研究发展规律、主要特点、存在问题的基础上，展望未来发展方向。学科综述是学科建设的一项基础工作，希望本书对国内外国际关系学界有所参考，推动当代日本研究进一步创新发展。

Founded in May 1981 with the approval of the State Council, the Institute of Japanese Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences is an academic institution and think tank unit under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences specializing in the study of contemporary Japanese issues. In order to accelerate the construction of the discipline system, academic system and discourse system of Japanese studies with Chinese characteristics, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Japanese Studies, we hereby organize leaders of various disciplines of the Institute and appropriately absorb experts from outside the Institute to systematically sort out the relevant research results and discipline development of the Chinese academic community in the past 40 years in the nine fields of Japanese politics, economy, diplomacy, Sino-Japanese relations, security, society, culture, history and ideology, and on the basis of summarizing the development laws, main characteristics and existing problems of Japanese studies. Looking ahead. It is hoped that this book will have a reference for the international relations academic circles at home and abroad and promote the further innovation and development of contemporary Japanese studies.（AI翻译）
