在技术哲学领域，作为技术哲学的理论支撑，技术认识论需要分析具体的工程技术活动过程及其结果，分析技术活动过程中所涉及的知识以及它们的演进和整合。从技术活动过程的角度看，技术知识可以区分为功能性质知识、物理性质知识、手段—目的知识和行动知识四种类型。此外，情境性也是分析技术认识的一个重要基点，情境是技术认识的内在构成部分。技术认识论对构建技术哲学的理论体系具有重要意义，而且能够拓宽认识论的研究视域。

In the field of philosophy of technology, as the theoretical support of philosophy of technology, technical epistemology needs to analyze the specific process of engineering and technical activities and their results, analyze the knowledge involved in the process of technical activities, and their evolution and integration. From the perspective of technical activity process, technical knowledge can be divided into four types: functional knowledge, physical knowledge, means-end knowledge and action knowledge.
