本书以一对“50后”医生夫妇的职业流动为线索，将“基层医疗实践”具体化为三个“代表性”时空场域（1952—1989年的小镇卫生院、1989—2000年的国企卫生所、2000—2016年的半公立半私立医院）中发生的医患故事，系统考察了一个中原小城在1949年后，尤其是改革开放以来医疗领域的变迁历程，力求对国家的医疗保障制度、医患之间的建构性关系互动以及医患纠纷的多元化解机制展开历时性分析，最终回到“社会秩序何以可能”这一社会学的核心命题。

Taking the professional mobility of a "post-50s" doctor couple as a clue, this book concretizes the "primary medical practice" into three "representative" time and space fields (small town health center from 1952 to 1989, state-owned enterprise health center from 1989 to 2000, semi-public and semi-private hospital from 2000 to 2016), systematically examines the changes in the medical field in a small city in the Central Plains after 1949, especially since the reform and opening up, and strives to improve the national medical security system. The constructive relationship interaction between doctors and patients and the diversified resolution mechanism of doctor-patient disputes are analyzed diachronically, and finally return to the core proposition of sociology of "how is social order possible".（AI翻译）
