这是我国第一部系统探讨个体宗教心理发展特点及其规律的学术专著。作者围绕涉及个体宗教心理发生发展的三个基本理论问题，即先天与后天的关系、内因与外因的关系、连续性与阶段性的关系，初步构建了中国化马克思主义个体宗教心理发展观的理论体系；成功编制了测量中国五大宗教和民间信仰者个体宗教心理发展水平的标准化工具；并且运用集成创新的方法，特别是准实验研究、测量研究的数据以及质性访谈、个案调查的资料，对儿童期、青少年期、中年期和老年期个体宗教心理的发展趋势、年龄特征及影响因素，进行了具体勾勒和生动描述。该书既可作为我国宗教学、心理学相关专业本科生、研究生的教材，又可供对宗教心理学领域具有研究兴趣的各界读者阅读。

This is the first academic monograph in China that systematically discusses the characteristics and laws of individual religious psychological development. Focusing on three basic theoretical issues involving the occurrence and development of individual religious psychology, namely the relationship between innate and acquired, the relationship between internal and external factors, and the relationship between continuity and stage, the author preliminarily constructs a theoretical system of the Chinese Marxist outlook on the development of individual religious psychology. Successfully compiled standardized tools to measure the level of individual religious psychological development of people of the five major religions and folk beliefs in China; Using integrated and innovative methods, especially the data of quasi-experimental research, measurement research, qualitative interviews and case investigations, the development trend, age characteristics and influencing factors of individual religious psychology in childhood, adolescence, middle age and old age are specifically outlined and vividly described.
