本书是接续作者《是与在》的艺术理论专著，主要论及中西艺术理论的政治学和哲学基础的比较，从先秦儒家和道家话语中寻找中国艺术政治学与艺术形而上学开端处的语言表达，从汉至魏晋南北朝的理论话语中寻找中国古代艺术理论的关键词，从魏晋南北朝以后的书论画论中分析艺术政治学与艺术形而上学的内在标准，试图建构中国古代艺术政治学和艺术形而上学的基本范畴体系。

目前国内还没有以艺术政治学为名的著作，也没有艺术形而上学著作，本书应是国内首部艺术政治学与艺术形而上学方面的专著。

This book is a continuation of the author's art theory monograph "Yes and In", mainly discussing the comparison of the political and philosophical foundations of Chinese and Western art theories, looking for the language expression at the beginning of Chinese art politics and art metaphysics from the pre-Qin Confucian and Taoist discourses, looking for the keywords of ancient Chinese art theory from the theoretical discourse of the Han to the Wei and Jin dynasties, and analyzing the internal standards of art politics and art metaphysics from the book theory and painting theory after the Wei and Jin dynasties. It attempts to construct the basic category system of ancient Chinese art politics and art metaphysics.
