中国审美文化的民族性有哪些重要特征？这些民族性特征形成的社会文化根源是什么？本书运用现代人类学的学术立场和方法对此进行了研究。作者认为，中国审美文化具有讲中和、尚情意、倡温柔、重世俗、主内省等主要特征，而从人格气质上看，这些特征则明显偏于阴柔化，甚至女性化。在中国几千年的父权社会中为什么会形成这种阴柔化、女性化文化气质呢？作者提出了“母性崇拜”这一文化本体概念，并从历史叙事、想象世界、美学话语、社会进化、宗法结构、中西比较等角度，对中国审美文化偏于阴柔这一民族性特征的内在形成机制（路线图），进行了全面探讨和系统阐述。

What are the important characteristics of the ethnicity of Chinese aesthetic culture? What are the socio-cultural roots of the formation of these national characteristics? This book examines this using the academic stance and methods of modern anthropology. The author believes that Chinese aesthetic culture has the main characteristics of neutrality, affection, gentleness, secularity, and introspection, while from the perspective of personality temperament, these characteristics are obviously feminine and even feminine. Why did this feminine and feminine cultural temperament form in China's thousands of years of patriarchal society? The author puts forward the concept of "maternal worship" as a cultural ontology, and comprehensively discusses and systematically elaborates on the internal formation mechanism (road map) of the national characteristic of Chinese aesthetic culture biased towards femininity from the perspectives of historical narrative, imaginary world, aesthetic discourse, social evolution, patriarchal structure, and comparison between China and the West.（AI翻译）
