Guided by Marxism, taking the general context of contemporary China's historical development under the conditions of socialist market economy as the clue, this book systematically investigates, sorts out and analyzes the basic propositions, principles and policies of the Communist Party of China on social assistance for urban disadvantaged groups from 1992 to 2012 and the social assistance practice carried out accordingly, comprehensively summarizes its experience and enlightenment, and looks forward to the social assistance undertaking of urban disadvantaged groups in the new century and new era. This book adheres to the dialectical unity of theoretical logic and historical logic, and through the interaction between theory and practice and the comparison of history and reality, it constitutes a logical whole in which "theory" and "practice" and "history" and "reality" are interrelated and interacting, reflecting the unity of the top-level design and specific measures of the Party's guiding ideology in the cause of social assistance for urban disadvantaged groups.（AI翻译）
