本书借鉴我国传统和西方现代文献学、 图书馆学、情报学的理论方法，建构了由“总论”、“本体论”、“功能论”构成的中国现代文学文献学理论体系；设计了中国现代文学文献学的叙述、研究框架，即现代文学文献学本体的结构模式。本书认为，1917年—1949年所产生的新文学作品，是中国现代文学的原典文献。而中国现代文学学科文献，还应包括原典文献传播过程中生成的对现代文学进行批评研究的二级文献，以及对这些批评研究进行再研究的三级文献。本书将中国现代文学学科各级次、各类型的重要文献，按一定的逻辑层次关系，构建成一个有机的开放的文献谱系。本书对各级文献和每级文献中不同的文献类型的特征及其文献价值，进行了深入的研究，精当的评述。

This book draws on the theoretical methods of traditional Chinese and Western modern philology, library science and information science, and constructs a theoretical system of modern Chinese literary philology composed of "general theory", "ontology" and "function theory". This paper designs the narrative and research framework of modern Chinese literary philology, that is, the structural model of modern literary philology. This book argues that the new literary works produced from 1917 to 1949 are the original texts of modern Chinese literature. The literature of modern Chinese literature should also include the secondary literature that conducts critical research on modern literature generated during the dissemination of original literature, and the third-level literature that re-studies these critical studies. This book constructs important documents of all levels and types of modern Chinese literature into an organic and open literature genealogy according to a certain logical hierarchy.
