This book adopts a narrative of "democracy, constitution, and nation-building" on the path of discovering the Chinese democratic model. On the comparative path of Chinese and Western democratic models, a narrative that rejects the dichotomy between substantive democracy and procedural democracy is adopted. In the selection of empirical survey subjects, a narrative of the state and social managers is adopted that is more in line with the reality of Chinese society. Under the current reform expectations of comprehensively promoting the integration of a rule of law country, a rule of law government, and a rule of law society, how to better use the Constitution to condense social consensus and cultivate constitutional patriotism is a very urgent issue. The research results of this book should be helpful for all strata of society to return to the common sense of the Constitution, to compare and analyze the issues of Chinese and Western democratic politics from the perspective of constitutional law, and to think about the standardization and institutionalization of China's democratic model.
