本书在语言学、逻辑学、美学等学科背景下以语体为基本框架，以语义和语境为枢纽，关联叙事对话和语用逻辑，博取先秦诸子散文、近现代小说、戏剧、当代法典等不同类型的语料，在不同的专题中讨论语用逻辑和叙事对话的关系。力图宏观与微观并重，宏观上兼顾谈话体、艺术体、事务体等以叙事为主的语体，由宏观的“面”兼及微观的“点”，点面结合，专书研究与专题研究相结合。在关注静态结构的同时，尤重动态对话过程分析，做到思辨与实证相结合，探讨“元话语”和“对象话语”之间的“互文性”。

本书在事实上着意于较能体现汉语实际的上述经典叙事言语作品，力图全方位、多角度、深层次地探究叙事对话的语用逻辑理据，并从语用逻辑层面实证分析叙事对话的话语实际，以期在实践上有助于语用主体正确思维、得体表达、有效认知（含阅读鉴赏等）、理性对话、成功交际。

It tries to attach equal importance to macro and micro aspects, and at the macro level, it gives consideration to the style of conversation, art and business, etc., which is mainly narrative style.
