With the intensification of social competition and life troubles,interpersonal barriers gradually emerge and become important disturbing factors in campus.Existing research shows that interpersonal problem has become one of the factors which bring about psychological barriers.For college students,the good relationship not only means good interpersonal atmosphere on campus,but what's more important is that it relates to the growth of college students.At the same time,good relationship lays both metal and physical foundation for the college students who are going to the society,changing their roles,and becoming more socialize.
Thus,research on college interpersonal difficulty not only enriches theoretical results in the stress coping field such as health psychology,positive psychology,psychology of college students and interpersonal psychology,but also provides theoretical guidance for mental health education and psychological counseling in college.Overall,this study is theoretically valuable and practically significant.
Based on cultural background,this study systematically re viewed the existing literature and detailed theory,including the connotation,theoretical model,assessment and measurement of pressure,and the connotation,theory,influencing factor and intervention experiment,which contributed the next ideas and framework of this research.Starting form the hypothesis of system structure,this study fully and systematically discussed the interpersonal distress and coping strategies of college students with some methods,which divided into six parts.
1.The interpersonal distress and coping strategy of college students is a multi-dimensional and multi-level structure.According to the fact that the relationship involves cognitive,emotion and behavior in certain social condition and historical context,the multi-dimensional interpersonal distress includes interpersonal cognitive(capacity,competition,inferiority),interpersonal emotion(loneliness,misunderstanding,imbalance)and interpersonal behavior(avoidance,alienation,coordination,distortion).The coping strategy of college interpersonal distress is also a multi-dimensional structure that includes active coping strategy(sincerely treating,reality facing,inclusive and understanding,self-regulation,behavior transferring)and passive coping strategy(enduring and avoiding,nature following).Based on the literature research and theoretical concept,we composed the college interpersonal distress questionnaire and the interpersonal distress coping strategies questionnaire through the process of open survey and professional assessment.The questionnaires had good reliability and validity through statistical and psychometric tests,so could be the measuring tools of college students interpersonal.
2.Research on the development features of interpersonal distress in college,this study found that there were no significant difference between key universities and general universities,but the students in key university repressed their emotions more than the ones in general universities; Liberal arts students scored higher in interpersonal cognitive and interpersonal behavior,while lower in interpersonal emotion and overall distress than science students; The sophomore scored higher in interpersonal cognitive than students in other grades,with significant differences among sophomore,juniors and senior students in the total score; Female students scored higher in interpersonal cognitive,interpersonal emotion and overall distress,while lower in interpersonal behavior than male students; Rural students scored higher than urban ones in overall distress; Students with siblings scored higher than the one-child students in interpersonal cognitive,interpersonal behavior and overall distress.Research on the development features of interpersonal distress coping strategies,this study found that the key university students scored higher significantly than the general ones in passive coping strategy,which meant passive coping with interpersonal distress more;There were no significant difference among specialties; Female students scored higher than male ones in active coping strategy,passive coping strategy and total coping strategy; Urban students scored higher in active coping strategy and total coping strategy,while lower in passive coping strategy than rural ones;One-child students scored higher than those with siblings in active coping strategy and total coping strategy.
3.The correlation analysis of interpersonal distress and coping strategy showed that active coping strategy extremely and negatively correlated with interpersonal behavior,and negatively correlated with interpersonal emotion.Overall,most active coping strategies negatively correlated with interpersonal distress in low-level.By correlation analyzing of passive coping strategy and three dimensions of interpersonal distress(interpersonal cognitive,interpersonal emotion,interpersonal behavior),we found an extremely significant positive correlation.The structural model showed that the interpersonal cognitive has direct impact on active coping strategy and passive coping strategy,the interpersonal emotion has direct impact on passive coping strategy,and the interpersonal behavior has direct impact on active coping strategy and passive coping strategy.
4.Research on cognitive factors of college students interpersonal distress and coping strategy included 6 sub-studies.The first 4 studies explored the effect of interpersonal attribution,perceived social support,negative automatic thinking and emotion regulation to coping strategy.As an important cognition style,interpersonal attributional style played a completely intermediary role between interpersonal distress and coping strategy,while perceived social support existed as a partly role.Negative automatic thinking was mediator not between interpersonal distress and coping strategy,but between interpersonal distress and social support.Emotion regulation played a role of cognitive factor between interpersonal distress and coping strategy.
Secondly,it views the relationship from the perspective of ecosystem,establishes integration mode.The result shows that interpersonal attribution and perceived social support direct response strategy,negative automatic thinking adjust the interpersonal attribution and perceived social support.The four variables together can explain 14% variation of response strategy.Lastly,it investigates the relationship among interpersonal relationship,recognition,response strategy and psychological health.It finds that,response strategy is the most influential factor of dysthymia disorders,then is the perceived social support、negative automatic thinking and interpersonal attribution.
5.Based on the recognition-action therapy,group guidance as the main form,research which is about the interference of the cognitive factor among college students shows that group counseling have much effect on self-respect and self-efficacy.There is big difference between the experimental group and the control group,and so within the experimental group.The group counseling training improves college students'interpersonal recognition,interpersonal emotion and interpersonal behavior,and decrease college students'interpersonal fear.As for the response strategy,there is no big difference between pre and after the interference of the experimental group on the active response strategy.While the passive response strategy is different.The group counseling is an effective way for improving college students'interpersonal relationship.It's basically accords with the project designed result before interference.
6.In the general discussion part,it analysis the conclusion of the research,then put forward the practical value and directive significance.At the same time,it talks about this research's innovation and limitation,and give some ideas about the follow up research.
In conclusion,this research adopted many research method,it comprehensive explores the interpersonal communication and response situation,commands the characteristics of college students'interpersonal confusion,dissects the effecting factors of interpersonal confusion among college students,aquires the first hand information on college students'interpersonal communication and response.This research not only provides the theory inspiration and demonstration material on the research of interpersonal communication among college students and has a theory and practical meaning on keeping metal healthy of college students,but also gives an important reference on establishing good interpersonal relationship and educational staff can give an proper education according to the individual.
