China's rapid economic growth for more than 30 years has created a Chinese-style "growth miracle", but the problems behind the growth are also worth pondering. This is a question related to the next step of China's reform and whether growth can be sustained. Local government dominance and state-owned enterprise monopolies are typical features of China's economic transformation. Therefore, the problem behind growth cannot be studied without considering the impact of state-owned enterprises, which is why this book examines the growth problem from the perspective of combining local government dominance and state-owned enterprise monopoly.
